marbled waffles with date caramel sauce

Let’s start with the sauce. Why did I discover dates so late? You are great at making energy bites or this date caramel sauce. Special bonus: This sauce does not require refined sugar and dairy products. More than dates, almond milk, vanilla and a pinch of salt is not needed. Purify everything together et voila! Sauce ready! This does not take 5 minutes. I then quickly sliced the sauce through a sieve, so that it is nice and smooth ( Unfortunately, I have no high-performance mixer ).

To the important part! The waffles .

OMG! I love it when waffles are slightly crunchy on the outside and fluffy soft inside I refined the dough with Greek yoghurt and coconut oil. In addition, there was also almond milk, because that was still left thanks to the date caramel sauce.

How is the marbling in the waffle?

Of course this does not require a special tool and I simply. Similar to the marble cake, the dough is divided, one half mixed with cocoa, the other half with vanilla. Afterwards, the dark dough is added directly to the light and carefully covered with a fork ( spoon goes too ). From this moment you should not mix the dough, but always carefully remove a portion of dough and put it in the hot waffle iron.
